The New Orleans Saints dropped to 2-10 on Sunday after losing 21-17 to the Miami Dolphins. Despite the loss, there were positive performances from key players that stood out for New Orleans, while some areas of concern continue to be an issue.

By far the biggest standout for the Saints on Sunday was the breakout of wide receiver Devaughn Vele. The second-year wide out logged 8 receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown. Vele was rookie quarterback Tyler Shough’s go-to target in the loss and brought in every pass coming to him, literally. The former Denver Broncos wide receiver was targeted eight times and brought in all eight receptions.
