ATLANTA — The Georgia High School Association is meeting Monday afternoon with the remaining Class AAAAA playoff schools impacted by the postponements surrounding Gainesville High.
Officials told 11Alive's Grace King the meeting is happening at 2:30 p.m. It is not open to the public. 11Alive is anticipating word from officials after its conclusion.
Gainesville's quarterfinal with Langston Hughes has been postponed amid a legal battle with the GHSA that followed 30+ suspensions to the Red Elephants over a fight in the previous round's game against Brunswick.
Gainesville won an injunction against the suspensions in a Hall County court last week, but the GHSA suspended the Friday night quarterfinal against Langston Hughes, saying it would appeal.
