PLEASANT LAKE, MI – The Jackson District Library will reopen its Henrietta Branch, after closing for renovations in August.

The branch, located at 11744 Bunkerhill Road in Pleasant Lake, will begin regular hours at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2. The interior renovations refreshed the library with new flooring, lighting, furniture, shelving and paint.

The interior renovations come after the building’s exterior was updated in 2024. These upgrades included new siding and stonework, a new accessible ramp, new lights in the parking lot and a cement pad for outdoor programming.

Between the interior and exterior work done at the Henrietta Branch, roughly $500,000 has been spent on the updates to the branch. This was helped by $60,000 from two Michigan Arts and Culture Council grants.
