Paula and Jack Petrie certainly had an eclectic group of friends. According to Palm Springs Life Magazine, the Petries entertained the likes of Arnold Palmer, Frank Sinatra, Glen Campbell, Johnny Bench, Barry Goldwater, and Jack Lemmon in their 1960s desert home. The Indian Wells Preservation Foundation is hosting a celebration and plaque unveiling with the current owners, Mayor Bruce Whitman and City Council members on Dec. 3; tickets available on the foundation website’s event page, www.iwpf92210.org
