Giving Tuesday has become a big day for many nonprofits in the region tapping into end-of-year giving.

“It’s our primary fundraiser of the year,” said Stephanie Brady, executive director at the Community Clinic of Southwest Missouri. “Typically, we raise $80,000 a year on Giving Tuesday. We’ve already started campaigning with our businesses. Freeman Health System, Kansas City University and Liberty Utilities are our sponsor businesses on Giving Tuesday. On the day we host fundraisers on Facebook, Instagram and on our website to try to get contributions from the community.” ×
