LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Nebraska state troopers performed 305 motorist assists from Nov. 26 to Nov. 30.
Many Nebraska roads were partially or completely covered with snow following the first winter storm of the season on Saturday. Some snow melted, leaving roads wet with slush before they froze again.
During that time frame, the Nebraska State Patrol said troopers responded to 69 crashes.
Tow operators spent Monday removing stranded vehicles from roads. Drivers should slow down and move over during this time.
NSP is asking drivers to be safe and stay prepared for adverse driving conditions for the next few months.
Check 511 before you travel and call *55 if you get stranded.
