A man who died after being found with what was believed to be a gunshot wound in Norwood, Massachusetts, has been identified.
The Norfolk County District Attorney's Office said a man was found with a wound just before 2 p.m. Saturday on Hoyle Street, just off of Washington Street.
The man was identified as Anton C. Dowling, 25, of Boston.
Initially believed by doctors to be a gunshot wound, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined during an autopsy that Dowling died from injuries from a sharp object.
Investigators say there is no threat to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
