EASLEY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Ethics Commission has ordered former mayor Huey “Butch” Womack to pay a penalty following a complaint made against him.

The SC Ethics Commission met to consider one count for use of an official position to obtain an economic benefit by using City of Easley funs to pay for firefighting-related expenses not associated with his mayoral duty and one count of driving an emergency response vehicle for personal use.

On Nov. 11, Womack was found in violation and issued to pay a reduced civil penalty of $2,000 and an administrative fee of $1,500 for a total of $3,500.
