After returning wide receiver Tutu Atwell to practice last week, the Rams opted not to activate him off of injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s 31-28 loss to the Carolina Panthers . And as the Rams (9-3) prepare to face the Arizona Cardinals (3-9) in Week 14, it’s not clear whether or not Atwell will be a part of that game plan, either.
When asked about the fifth-year receiver’s absence against Carolina, McVay said the Rams took into consideration special teams roles and how the 48-man game-day roster needed to look when opting to leave Atwell on injured reserve.
While the Rams have not begun their planning for the Arizona game yet, McVay said Monday he was uncertain if the circumstances for Atwell would change.
