PALATKA, Fla. (WCJB) — A man arrested for stabbing and killing a woman in Putnam County has been formally indicted for first-degree murder.
Prosecutors say Lemar Beasley, 54, of Crescent City, stabbed Cheyenne Kastens, 36, of Georgetown , 40 times in a Dollar General parking lot in Fruitland on Nov.14. Kastens and Beasley were strangers.
“No words can bring back the irreparable harm to Ms. Kastens’ family and friends caused at the hands of a stone-cold killer,” Sheriff H.D. ‘Gator’ DeLoach said.
