177-year-old man dies after being struck by vehicle on Park Heights Avenue

Baltimore, MD – A 77-year-old pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle Friday evening in Northwest Baltimore, prompting a fatal crash investigation by city police.

Officers responded around 5:56 p.m. to the 5200 block of Park Heights Avenue for reports of a motor vehicle crash. When they arrived, they found the man suffering from injuries sustained after being struck by a car. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Crash Team investigators responded to the scene and took over the investigation. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with authorities, police said.
