Delaware County and the immediate Philadelphia area look to be out of the bulls-eye for the winter storm bearing down on the region.
The AccuWeather forecast is for up to a coating of snow Tuesday morning then a change to rain as the event continues.
If heading north on Tuesday, about a half-hour out of the Delaware County you’ll run into a steadier and longer-duration snow with more difficult travel. There were are winter weather advisories in place for the northern halves of Chester and Montgomery counties and all the way to the New York state line.
Beyond the storm, sunny and chilly days are expected Wednesday and Thursday with a high near 40 degrees each day, then an arctic air mass is expected to move into the region for a brief stay on Friday.
