[WATERLOO, Iowa] — Residents are still grappling with winter's harsh arrival after the weekend storm dumped 14 inches of snow. The icy conditions continue to make roads hazardous for drivers.
In the Cedar Valley today, several vehicles faced challenges on the freeways. There were two rollovers this morning and a semi-truck that became stuck. All incidents occurred between the Ansborough Avenue on-ramp and the U.S. 63 off-ramp.
Iowa's Department of Transportation (DOT) and State Patrol had issued travel advisories over the weekend. Craig Bargfrede, Iowa's Winter Operations Administrator for District Six, stressed the importance of these warnings.
