COUSHATTA, La. — A Thanksgiving morning fire in north Louisiana killed a 4-year-old girl and a 59-year-old man, leaving a mother pleading for answers as state investigators search for the cause. The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal said the blaze broke out shortly after 2 a.m. Thursday at a mobile home in the 2400 block of U.S. Highway 71 in Coushatta. When firefighters arrived, the home was already engulfed in flames. Four-year-old Amire Joseph and Kenneth Miller, 59, died in the fire. A 21-year-old man was able to escape.
