SANDPOINT, Idaho — We officially know when Schweitzer will open skiing and riding operations for the winter season!

Schweitzer Opening Day had to be pushed back a couple of times due to weather and crews preparing the mountain, but they announced an opening day for skiing and riding operations on Monday.

Schweitzer announced that thanks to favorable cold temperatures, low relative humidity and snowmaking operations being fully underway, Schweitzer is kicking off this year's ski and ride season on Wednesday, December 3.

Schweitzer said the Basin Express will be open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with access to Midway, and no beginner terrain will be available as part of the opening.
