Syracuse, N.Y. - Community organizations will receive 7,000 cans of infant formula to distribute to people in need.

Food Bank of Central New York will distribute the formula secured in the settlement of a price-gouging complaint against Marine Park Distribution and Formula Depot.

Central New York’s share amounts to $100,000 of the state’s $675,000 settlement of the complaint, state Attorney General Letitia James said in Syracuse today.

Her office reached the settlement with New York-based affiliates Marine Park, a company that sells infant formula to stores, and Formula Depot, which sells to consumers online. The state’s anti-price-gouging laws allow the AG to file civil suits with potential fines of up to $25,000 per violation.
