TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A man has been arrested in connection with a violent attack at the Laos Transit Center in Tucson on Sunday, Nov. 30.
The Tucson Police Department said 27-year-old Godwin Bloomer-Igbokwe was arrested Monday on charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault.
The TPD said Bloomer-Igbokwe attacked the victim in the bathroom at the transit center around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
The TPD said the victim was “seemingly unaware that the suspect was in the bathroom, opened the bathroom door, and was immediately struck in the head by the suspect with a (piece of metal).”
The TPD said Bloomer-Igbokwe took a bus to the transit center before the incident and fled the scene before officers arrived.
