New Mexico State University police said 32-year-old Julio Caro of of Doña Ana County was killed in a traffic collision near campus on the morning of Nov. 29.

Caro was struck in the area of Cholla Road and Triviz Drive at approximately 6:45 a.m. by a vehicle was traveling southbound on Triviz Drive between Film Street and Cholla Road.

Alcohol is not a factor and there are no pending criminal charges against the driver, who police said remained at the scene and was cooperative in the investigation.
