PEORIA, Ill. – A 23-year-old man must remain in jail until trial for his alleged role in a home invasion at a Peoria apartment complex that led to the death of a teenager.
The Peoria County State’s Attorney’s Office says Reginald Flemister-Tolson appeared in court Monday for a detention hearing, and is charged with Home Invasion and Aggravated Battery.
The incident occurred the evening of November 22nd at the Lexington Hills Apartments, where 17-year-old Matthew Day was shot and later died at a hospital.
A 21-year-old male was found in a neighboring apartment with gunshot wounds to his legs, with the victim reporting multiple males reportedly coming in the apartment and started firing guns.
