Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman had arguably the worst season of his career during the 2024-25 campaign, leading the league in goals against (176).

The 27-year-old finished the 2023-24 season seventh in the NHL’s Vezina Trophy voting though and now may be one of the frontrunners again for the hardware.

National NHL writer Dom Luszczyszyn of The Athletic said on Monday that Swayman is “probably” the current top contender for the award given to the league’s best goalie.

“The current leader should probably be Jeremy Swayman who is bouncing back terrifically after last year’s struggles.
