Coach James Franklin’s Virginia Tech program continued to add talent, with four-star quarterback Troy Huhn, a former Penn State pledge, committing to the Hokies.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder from San Marcos, California, is ranked 10th among pocket passers by ESPN among the high school class of 2026. He decommitted from Penn State on Oct. 16, four days after Franklin was fired.
Franklin’s recent 4-star recruits, according to Tech Sideline’s David Cunningham, include offensive tackle Thomas Wilder of Green Run, tight end Pierce Petersohn of Triton High in Dodge Center, Minnesota, and linebacker Mathieu Lamah of Patriot High in Northern Virginia. The Hokies reportedly also landed defensive lineman Garrett Witherington of Briarwood
