SHREVEPORT, La. — SporTran is rolling out several new and redesigned bus routes starting Jan. 11.

The project involves eliminating four existing routes and consolidating them into three new routes: Metro Loop 31, Metro Loop 32, and Route 1 Hearne/East King Highway.

Riders should look for the updated schedules to be posted on the SporTran website by Dec. 29.

SporTran is acting on the feedback it received, with the goal of helping riders move better across the city. The new routes are expected to provide greater connectivity, easier travel, and will reduce the need for riders to connect at multiple transfer points. The changes will also increase the general coverage of the bus system across the Shreveport area.
