NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A woman tragically died over the weekend after being hit by cars and dragged for miles on Nashville roads.

The Saturday night incident has renewed safety concerns for residents of the area.

“It is kind of scary,” a neighbor said. “You can see right here, cars definitely close to where we have to walk, there is no sidewalk.”

Metro Nashville Police say a teen hit the woman Saturday while she was in the middle of Brick Church Pike and kept going.

Eventually, the 17-year-old’s parents reported it, according to investigators. But by the time they intervened, the woman had already been hit by a second vehicle and dragged all the way to that driver’s house.
