The New England Patriots defensive line will be short-handed on Monday night against the New York Giants. After already losing Milton Williams to injured reserve in November, the team also ruled out fellow defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga ahead of the prime time matchup.
Tonga, 29, suffered a chest injury against the Cincinnati Bengals last Sunday. While he did practice in a limited capacity on both Wednesday and Saturday, he did not receive the green light for the Week 13 matchup. As a consequence, the Patriots will be down two of their three top interior defensive linemen; Christian Barmore is the only one out of the group available for a Giants team ranked third in the NFL in rushing attempts per game.
The rest of the Patriots’ inactives looks as follows.
