LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Monday was a cloudy, cold, and dreary day, but Tuesday will be much better.

The widespread rain from Monday will taper off through the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures will fall overnight with lows in the 30s by Tuesday morning for all areas north of the Intracoastal Waterway. The wind is expected to remain in the 10 to 20 mph range which will make it feel even colder as you head out on your Tuesday morning!

After the chilly start Tuesday should be a much nicer day than Monday with abundant sunshine expected! Despite the sun our temperatures will only reach the low to mid 50s for highs.

Wednesday morning will be several degrees colder with frost possible in areas north of I-10. Clouds will return late Wednesday into Wednesday night and eventually rain
