The National Weather Service is predicting wintry weather in Western North Carolina to ring in the first day of December.
Overnight on Monday, Dec. 1, areas including Buncombe and Henderson counties, as well as the Rutherford and Polk mountains, can expect temperatures near or below freezing, with a 100% chance of precipitation, according to the weather agency .
