CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A man has been taken into custody following a large law enforcement presence in West Ashley Monday evening.

Several Charleston Police and Fire Department vehicles were spotted outside the area of the Ashley Arms Apartments and Wysteria Place near the intersection of Ashley Hall Road.

The Special Operations Division served an arrest warrant to a man at an apartment complex at the 1500 block of Ashley River Road.

The alleged suspect’s name and charges have not yet been released.

It is unclear what occurred at this time, but we will provide as soon as we learn more.
