WAKE VILLAGE, Texas(KSLA) - Members of the Wake Village Police Department are in the middle of a holiday food drive.
Officers say they have gathered many items, but they need a lot more to make this year’s drive successful.
“This is absolutely not near enough yet,” says Chris Cobb, Wake Village Police.
Detective Chris Cobb said the department has sponsored this event for the past seven years.
“The box will have different items in it, canned goods and different things, and then the police department will purchase hams to go with each box and a full case of water,” says Cobb.
Donations for this food drive can be made at the Wake Village police department or at the Wake Village Walmart store from now until Dec. 19.
