Paramount is lining up its 2028 slate and it’s shaping up to be a big year for Sonic the Hedgehog and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles .
The studio just unveiled plans for a new Sonic movie and an untitled live-action hybrid TMNT film, both set to arrive at the end of 2028.
Per The Hollywood Reporter , the TMNT project hails from producer Neal H. Moritz and will hit theaters first on November 17, 2028, with the Sonic film following on December 22, 2028.
The last batch of live-action TMNT movies, which starred Megan Fox , didn’t land well with critics, and the 2016 follow-up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows underperformed at the box office—prompting the studio to put the franchise on pause.
The 2028 release is expected to serve as a reboot.
