Anchorage considers new city seal with Dena’ina

The Anchorage Assembly has five new designs , A through E, to choose from for the new city seal. This is the current design, with the new versions aiming to include more Dena’ina influence. Anchorage resident Tammy Thiel doesn’t mind the idea of changing the seal. “I think the old one’s fine, but everybody wants to update their thing,” she said. She likes the other options but prefers option C. “I just like C because it looks cleaner and more streamlined,” Thiel said.
