Three prominent Edmonton charities are seeing double heading into winter and the holiday season.

For Giving Tuesday, both Bissell Centre and Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS) will have donations matched up to $25,000 by Epcor.

Meanwhile, Boyle Street Community Services just saw its own matching campaign net the charity $57,000 in November.

“It’s a pretty important month for us,” said Corey Mowles, president and CEO of YESS.

He says the non-profit, which works to support youth who are in crisis, typically sees around 60 per cent of its annual donations come at this time of year.
