JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Plan on bringing an animal into your family soon? The nonprofit BISSELL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters - Holiday Hope event is helping local shelters bring their adoption prices down in an effort to make sure every dog and cat has a home for the holidays.

BISSELL hosts Empty the Shelters events every quarter. This time, more than 300 shelters across the country are dropping their prices to $70 or less until Dec. 15, including three on the First Coast.
