WASHINGTON — The District Snow Team is on standby as a winter mix of freezing rain and snow is expected Tuesday morning.
The mix with slushy snow and some freezing rain will impact areas west of I-95 during the morning hours between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. By around 6 a.m., it will be pouring rain for most of the region, except for areas well north and west, where snow will continue to accumulate, and ice will remain a concern in the higher elevations. Showers will last through the early afternoon.
During the wintery mix, the District Snow Team will be on standby beginning at 11 p.m. Monday to address any potentially icy conditions.
