The Ottawa police are asking for the public’s help as they attempt to identify a suspect following an assault Oct. 3 in the 2000 block of Carling Avenue.

Police, who said the assault occurred at about 10 p.m., described the suspect as white, about 30 years old, with strawberry blond hair and a beard. Police said he was wearing a blue golf shirt, beige shorts and black and white sneakers when the incident took place.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or details related to the incident was asked to contact the West Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, extension 2666. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca .
