CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - ITC Midwest has donated $20,000 to the HACAP food bank to help provide nutritious meals to local families this holiday season.

The company’s contribution is part of ITC Midwest’s $100,000 commitment to food banks throughout its service territory.

“We recognize family budgets are tight right now and appreciate the ongoing local efforts by food banks to address food insecurity,” ITC Midwest President Dusky Terry said. “Our commitment to serving communities extends beyond providing safe and reliable electric transmission service.”

The announcement comes just before Giving Tuesday, a global movement that inspires generosity through celebration events held worldwide annually on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
