FAYETTEVILLE -- New University of Arkansas football Coach Ryan Silverfield's five-year deal will start with an annual salary of $6.5 million with yearly increases of $100,000 to reach $6.9 million.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette obtained Silverfield's five-page term sheet on Monday via a public records request. UA Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek and Silverfield, who compiled a 50-25 record in six years at Memphis, both signed the term sheet shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday night.

The total package of $33.5 million over five years is subject to the approval of the UA board of trustees. His annual salary is $350,000 through the full term, while his other annual compensation starts at $6.15 million and increases by $100,000 for each of the five years.
