A 23-year-old man is dead after being shot multiple times Monday morning, Dec. 1, on Sollitt Street in Jackson , according to authorities.
Public Information Officer Tommie Brown with the Jackson Police Department said officers responded around 5:15 a.m. Monday to a shooting in the 200 block of Sollitt Street.
Brown said when officers arrived at the scene, they discovered 23-year-old James Crowley Jr., the victim, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Crowley was taken by American Medical Response to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he later died, Brown said.
No suspect information was available by the time of this publication.
