HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings Utilities Department and a group of local non-profit organizations are teaming up again this year to keep families warm through Winter.
The Share The Warmth program is back and runs from Dec. 1 to April 30. Please note, the funds collected through this program are dispersed to those in need during this timeframe; but anyone can contribute to Share the Warmth at any time during the year.
The program provides security to those in the community who may be unable to afford their utility bill during the colder months. The program was designed in coordination with The Salvation Army, Catholic Social Services and Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska. It was specifically tailored to assist the following people:
*Individuals 60 years of age or older
