SPRINGDALE -- Springdale's aldermen gave their blessing Monday to the city's 2026 budget, sending the ordinance on to the full City Council for final approval.

The City Council's Finance Committee reviewed the budget for the final time at Monday's committee meeting and forwarded it to the regular City Council meeting with a "do pass" recommendation.

The aldermen had requested a number of changes and corrections at an all-day budget session on Nov. 14. Those changes were made by city staff and detailed for the aldermen at Monday's meeting.

The 2026 Springdale budget shows expected revenue of just under $80 million and expenditures of about $76 million for the general fund. The city also shows transfers of about $3.6 million to other funds during the year. The city should have a surplus o
