DETROIT. (WILX) - The Detroit Lions placed cornerback Terrion Arnold on injured reserve with a shoulder injury on Monday. The move means Arnold will not return until the season finale vs. Chicago, if he is healthy enough to return at all.
The former first-round corner has already missed four games this season due to injury and will now miss at least four more.
D.J. Reed, Rock Ya-Sin, and Amik Robertson will be the Lions’ top options at corner with Arnold out. Safety Kerby Joseph has been out since Week 6 with a knee injury, and safety Brian Branch is listed as questionable for Thursday.
The Lions' depleted secondary will be put to the test against the Dallas Cowboys and their star receiver duo of CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens on Thursday at Ford Field at 8:15 p.m.
