Kodai Senga could be dealt by the Mets this offseason, but if it was up to the right-hander, he’d stay put.

Senga recently informed the Mets that he does not want to be traded, per Will Sammon of The Athletic.

Sammon reported last month that Senga is attracting trade interest from multiple teams this offseason. He’s been on the injured list for much of these last two seasons and wound up in Triple-A this year, but other clubs view the Japanese starter as a buy-low target with plenty of upside.

Senga, who turns 33 in January, is only two years removed from a spectacular rookie season. He was the runner-up in the race for the National League Rookie of the Year Award with the Mets in 2023, finishing seventh in Cy Young Award voting with a 2.98 ERA over 29 starts. Last year, Senga pi
