King Charles III has stripped his brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, of further titles amid controversy over his connections to sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

Mountbatten-Windsor has repeatedly denied any inappropriate behavior.

The process was formally initiated to strip Mountbatten-Windsor of his title as "Prince" on October 30.

According to the official public record of the UK, King Charles directed that Mountbatten-Windsor be stripped of his remaining memberships in the Royal Order of the Garter and the Royal Victorian Order, which he held since 2006 and 2011, respectively.

The notice was published on December 1, but dated October 30.
