The New England Patriots played a near-perfect first half against the New York Giants, taking a 30-7 lead into the locker room. However, they also saw a member of their running back group exit the game with an injury.
Terrell Jennings, the Patriots’ third option at the position, left in the second quarter with a head injury. He has since been ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Jennings, 24, opened the Monday night game with a 39-yard kickoff return. He later also was on the field for Marcus Jones’ 94-yard punt return touchdown, but left shortly thereafter. Following a stint in the blue medical tent, the sophomore running back left for the locker room and did not return.
With Jennings out, the Patriots are down to Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson at the running back posit
