Captain America is set to face off against a powerful foe that will unfortunately never happen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chris Evans' swansong as the Sentinel of Liberty comes in Avengers: Endgame , with Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson taking on the mantle of Captain America. Mackie's first feature film as Cap takes place in Captain America: Brave New World .

That movie officially introduces Red Hulk to the MCU, where he clashes with Captain America. Sam Wilson is able to hold his own against Red Hulk , but some fans will prefer to see Steve Rogers take on Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. While it appears unlikely for that showdown to take place on the big screen, the comics will make it happen.
