It has been 20 years since a North Texas police officer was killed in the line of duty while serving a warrant, and his family and colleagues are continuing to honor his sacrifice.
Fort Worth Officer Henry “Hank” Nava Jr. was shot and killed in 2005 while serving a warrant on a parole violator.

On Monday, his loved ones and members of the Fort Worth Police Department gathered at the Fort Worth Police and Firefighters Memorial for a candlelight vigil.
“How can you put 20 years of memories, 20 years of what ifs into words?” said Nava’s daughter, KayLeigh Nava.
