LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) - The University of Kentucky announced Will Stein will replace Mark Stoops as the next football head coach.
The Louisville native went to Trinity High School where he won three state titles. He then took his talents to the University of Louisville. There he not only led the team as quarterback, but also joined the coaching staff in 2013 as a graduate assistant.
In 2015 and 2016, Stein served as the quality control coach with Texas’ wide receivers; he followed that up by leading the Longhorns’ quarterbacks in 2017.
In 2018, he joined the Lake Travis High School coaching staff and served in various roles such as the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator, quarterback coach and recruiting coordinator.
