CROSS PLAINS, Wis. (WKOW)— The Village of Cross Plains is celebrating the groundbreaking of its new village hall and police station. This marks the culmination of years of planning and collaboration.
The new facility will be a two-story, 17,500-square-foot building designed to enhance operational efficiency and accessibility for municipal services, and law enforcement officers to do their job.
"It will provide for a larger space to do training, which we don't have [at the current building]. They'll have a workout area so officers can stay well and healthy. It'll involve some specific cubicles for every officer, so they'll have their own space to work in," said Cross Plains Police Chief Tony Ruesga. "Our evidence room will be a lot more tech savvy it'll be much more advanced," Ruesga said
