The Major League Baseball offseason is underway, and plenty of players are starting to sign with new teams. While a majority of superstars remain unsigned, role players are starting to land on new teams.
The Colorado Rockies have reportedly signed Nicky Lopez. The veteran infielder elected free agency from the Chicago Cubs last month and has now signed a minor league deal with an invite to spring training, according to the Denver Gazette's Kevin Henry .
Lopez spent most of last season bouncing around the league. He signed with the Cubs in February. He was released in March and signed with the Los Angeles Angels. He was designated for assignment and then returned to the Cubs, only to be outrighted to Triple-A Iowa. He eventually elected free agency again, landing with the Arizona Diam
