Former Murray State University provost and vice president of academic affairs Tim Todd is suing the school fo breach of contract.
The Murray Sentinel reported Monday the suit alleges Todd was stripped of his provost duties and given a 55 percent salary reduction. Todd served as in both roles from March, 2020 until October 31st of this year.
In a news release August 26th, the school announced Todd would step down as provost and return to his tenusred position as a faculty member.
Paducah attorney David Kelly is representing Todd in the suit filed last week in Franklin Circuit Court. The suit was filed there according to Kelly because “the action is on a written contract for which sovereign immunity is waived.”
