Hamilton coach Joshua Budlong saw a breakout season brewing for Luke Langel during summer workouts.
For that reason, Langel earned a “green light” to shoot away for the Emerald Knights in their season opener against Madison on Monday.
That decision paid off handsomely as Langel dropped 45 points to lead Hamilton to a 63-58 win — a scoring mark that nearly doubled his previous career best while also being the highest for an Emerald Knight in 14 seasons.
